Η Capital Product Partners επενδύει 312 εκ. δολ. για πέντε νέα πλοία

Η εισηγμένη στη Νέα Υόρκη Capital Product Partners αγοράζει τρία πλοία μεταφοράς εμπορευματοκιβωτίων και δύο δεξαμενόπλοια μεταφοράς χειμικών, με παράδοση στο διάστημα μεταξύ Μαρτίου 2015 και το Νοέμβριο του 2015, όπως είπε ο βασικος μέτοχος της Ευαγγελος Μαρινάκης.



Capital Product Partners purchased five newbuildings from its sponsor, Evangelos Marinakis’ Capital Maritime & Trading, for nearly $312m.

 



The New York-listed owner said it purchased three containerships and two products tankers in the deal, with delivery between March 2015 and November 2015.


Athens-based Capital Product said it is paying below-market prices for the ships.


The company will pay $81.5m each for three 9,160-teu eco-flex containerships at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering. The vessels come with 60-month charters to French liner operator CMA CGM.


Capital Product will pay $33.5m each for the medium-range products tankers under construction at Samsung Heavy Industries.


Those ships are come with charters to Capital Maritime for two years at $17,000 per day, plus a 50-50 profit share.


Capital Maritime also gave its listed spin-off rights of first refusal for six products tankers scheduled to be delivered between September 2015 and December 2016.


The deals are subject to approval at a 21 August annual meeting of new incentive distribution levels for shareholders.


Marinakis-led Capital Product owns 30 vessels including crude and products tankers, containerships and one bulker.
