PCT: Supporting vulnerable families in local communities for Easter
PCT (Piraeus Container Station S.A.) , a subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING Ports Ltd , offered this Easter food supplies to over 580 families in the wider area of Piraeus. The distribution of food packages was carried out on the occasion of Easter, with the assistance of representatives of Parents Associations and educational staff of schools, as well as the help of Churches in the municipalities of: Perama, Drapetsona – Keratsini, Korydallos and Piraeus. The company’s employees actively participated in the distribution, who voluntarily supported the food distribution points with their work, sending a message of offering and solidarity.
PCT ‘s initiative to support vulnerable families with food items started in 2012, and is consistently implemented every year just before Easter and Christmas periods. In total, the amount allocated exclusively for this particular action exceeds 200,000 euros over time, while the number of families supported increases every year. The donation is part of PCT ‘s planned social, educational and environmental corporate responsibility program, which in 2024, will exceed 770,000 euros in total.
