Grupo Transcoma consolidates its position in Europe with an event for Greek shipowners
Transcoma and Hamilton y Cía present their growth projects by organising a private event that brings together the main players in the sector
Transcoma Grupo Empresarial strengthens its presence in the Greek market with an event organised by two of its most historic companies: Transcoma and Hamilton & Co. The event took place at the BLE Pavillon in Athens last Thursday evening and was attended by more than 70 Greek shipowners and relevant actors of the shipping sector.
The Grupo Transcoma has made the Greek market one of its main strategic objectives for the coming months. For this reason, the event was held to present the company’s new expansion plans in Greece to the country’s shipping sector. For Transcoma’s Tramp division – a maritime agency specialised in Tramp, Liner, Projects and Car Carrier, with more than 100 professionals spread throughout the Iberic Peninsula and offices in strategic points at an international level – the Greek market already accounts for 25% of their clientele and they are looking to continue expanding it, given its great potential and business dimensions.
At the event, Hamilton y Cía – the group’s leading company in the Canary Islands in oil rigs, cruise ships and tramp vessel shipping services – announced that it is in a moment of business strength based on business and expansion prospects that in the last four months have far exceeded all forecasts and objectives defined in 2023. It also announced its willingness to increase its size in terms of personnel and structure in order to expand into new markets.
The event brought together, in addition to representatives of the Greek shipowners, managers, directors and professionals from the sector. Among the attendees, there were also general managers from most of the different divisions that make up the Transcoma Grupo Empresarial holding: Norsur, Dynamic Fuels, Transcoma Cruises, H&h, Transcoma Global Logistics and ANT Logistics. The Group, which is made up of 14 companies that stand out for their capacity to offer local and global services and a broad transversality, standing out for their specialisation and great knowledge of the sector. Transcoma Grupo Empresarial has offices throughout Spain and in countries such as Italy, Argentina, and the United States.
