TOP Ships Inc. Announces Increase of Independent Directors

TOP Ships Inc., an international owner and operator of modern, fuel efficient “ECO” MR tanker vessels focusing on the transportation of petroleum products, announced that it has increased the size of its Board of Directors (the “Board”) from five members to seven members, and has appointed Mr. Per Christian Haukenes and Mr. Paolo Javarone to the Board.

Mr. Paolo Javarone will serve as a member of the Audit Committee, Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, and Compensation Committee of the Board, each of which committees will be expanded from two to three members.

TOP Ships Inc. is an international owner and operator of modern, fuel efficient “ECO” MR tanker vessels focusing on the transportation of petroleum products.

TOP Ships Inc. currently owns one MR tanker, employed on a time charter, and has five newbuilding MRs, which are expected to be delivered to the Company between the first quarter of 2015 and the third quarter of 2016.
