PPA S.A.: Delegation of SELPE Visits Piraeus Port Authority

PPA S.A. welcomed a delegation from the Hellenic Retail Business Association (SELPE), led by the President of SELPE and PLAISIO S.A., Mr. Kostas Gerardos, to the Company’s headquarters on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. The meeting focused on matters concerning the operation of the Port of Piraeus and the prospects for further cooperation between the two entities.

The SELPE delegation was welcomed by PPA S.A.’s Deputy Chief Executive Officers, Mr. Angelos Karakostas and Mr. Panagiotis Tsonis. Discussions focused on port operations and the efficient management of cargo flows. Both parties also exchanged views on recent developments in transportation, logistics, supply chain management, and the retail sector.

The SELPE representatives were briefed on the operational capabilities and modern infrastructure of the Port of Piraeus, which plays a strategic role as a key hub for Greece and the wider Southeastern European region.

The visit also included a guided tour of the port’s key operational areas, during which participants were introduced to the port’s facilities, operational procedures, and services that support efficient cargo handling and supply chain operations.

The visit took place in a particularly positive atmosphere and reaffirmed the importance of ongoing collaboration, aiming to strengthen competitiveness, promote international outreach, and foster the sustainable development of the Greek economy.
