As the Commonwealth of Dominica marks its 39th Independence Day Anniversary, the Honorary Consul, Christos Vardikos, noted that the country is seeking to be the first climate resilient nation after the tremendous damage that the recent hurricane wreaked across the country.
Dominica “has caught the imagination of the world,” he said.
Addressing Greek high officials, business representatives and Members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps during a private dinner hosted by himself and his charming wife Olga, Mr. Vardikos said that with the assistance of global agencies, “the aim was to rebuild a better, more resilient Dominica; however long or hard the road may be.”
