1. KEYNOTE ADDRESS “FROM SUCCESS TO ACCELARATION: GREECE’S GLOBAL OUTREACH FOR
NEW INVESTMENTS”:
Speaker: H.E. Harry Theoharis, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs – Hellenic Republic

H.E. Harry Theoharis, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs – Hellenic Republic stated: “Today’s forum was an important opportunity to present a clear message: Greece has entered a new economic era. For years, our national narrative was shaped by survival and recovery. That period is now definitively behind us. What defines Greece today is acceleration—our determination not simply to respond to challenges, but to shape opportunities and to lead with confidence. In my remarks, I highlighted how Greece has moved from a country catching up with Europe to one outperforming it. With sustained growth above the Eurozone average, unemployment at a fifteen- year low, restored Investment Grade ratings, and a rapidly improving fiscal outlook, Greece is now recognised as a stable and highly competitive destination for global capital. I outlined three pillars that drive this acceleration. First, our emergence as the energy hub of Southeast Europe, supported by record renewable penetration, major
interconnectors, and strategic infrastructure that enhances Europe’s energy security. Second, Greece’s transformation into a logistics and technology gateway for the wider EMEA region, with world-class ports, upgraded rail corridors, and a growing digital ecosystem attracting major international technology firms. Third, the shift in our tourism and real-estate model, where value, sustainability, and high-quality investments are replacing mass- market approaches. All of this is enabled by stability, policy continuity, and a modern incentives framework that lowers risk and rewards innovation. My message to investors is simple: the first-mover advantage is closing. Greece is building the pipelines, corridors, and digital networks of Europe’s next decade. This is already happening, and we welcome partners who recognise the moment. Greece’s new chapter is being written at scale, and I invite the global investment community to join us in accelerating this future together.”
