Today, with joy and emotion, I coordinate the presentation of Maria Spanou’s book Narrating the Route of the Port of Volos – The Route of the Port Fund (1883-2001) published by the Volos Port Authority. The personality of the Researcher Author Mrs. Spanou perfectly illuminates the pearl of Thessaly, its history and its multifaceted sides that reflect the thirst of a society for progress and international contact. Thanks are due to all the contributors and sponsors of the publication, the President, the CEO and the Board of Directors and the employees of OLB SA, as well as all those who have contributed to the development of the Port since its establishment. Let us enjoy today’s event as a celebration for the homeland that is rooted in our soul that we love and care for.
