Forum Overview<\/p>\n

On Friday, April 4th, 2025 we are hosting the 3rd Capital Link Cyprus Business Forum, at the Metropolitan Club in New York City.<\/p>\n

Organized in cooperation with the\u00a0Cyprus Union of Shipowners\u00a0and supported by the\u00a0Deputy Shipping Ministry of the Republic of Cyprus\u00a0and\u00a0Invest Cyprus, this premier forum will foster an open dialogue on\u00a0Cyprus\u2019s business and investment landscape,\u00a0highlighting its openness and competitiveness on the global stage.<\/p>\n

Cyprus’ strategic location, favorable business climate, access to international markets, and emerging industries have made it grow into a major hub for financial services, energy, logistics, shipping and technology as well as becoming an attractive destination for global entrepreneurs and investors.<\/p>\n

The recent credit rating upgrades send a strong message to global investors and the business community that Cyprus offers a stable, reliable, and competitive economic environment. The Government\u2019s commitment to sustainable growth, fiscal discipline and continued reforms contribute to enhanced investor confidence.<\/p>\n

This forum aims to elevate Cyprus\u2019s profile within the international investment and business community and spotlight the country\u2019s growing role as a hub for investment and economic activity, providing exclusive insights on:<\/p>\n

Cyprus\u2019s strategic position as a gateway for investment\u00a0in Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.
\nKey economic reforms and initiatives\u00a0attracting global investors.
\nThe country\u2019s role in regional energy developments\u00a0and financial markets.
\nThe competitive advantages of Cyprus as a maritime hub, with a robust, versatile and efficient maritime cluster with growing shipowning and shipmanagement communities. More than 7% of the global fleet is managed out of Cyprus. Furthermore, Cyprus is a regional financial, insurance and legal hub adding to the versatility of the cluster.<\/p>\n

The event will convene a distinguished delegation of\u00a0government public officials from Cyprus\u00a0and\u00a0industry leaders from the private sector\u00a0to address key topics, including\u00a0security and stability, energy, cyber technology, banking and finance, and shipping.<\/p>\n

Within the context of the\u00a0\u201cCapital Link Cyprus Business Forum\u201d, Safe Bulkers, which is listed on NYSE (NYSE: SB), will host a reception and organize a special ceremony at the New York Stock Exchange in honor of Cyprus.\u00a0Mr. Polys Hajioannou, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of\u00a0SAFE BULKERS, INC\u00a0with the\u00a0President of Republic of Cyprus H.E. Nikos Christodoulides, will ring the \u201cClosing Bell\u201d on Friday April 4, 2025. The NYSE Closing Bell is broadcasted live on major news stations in the United States and abroad to an estimated audience of 150 million viewers worldwide.<\/p>\n
