Piraeus, 6 March, 2025: DNV Maritime proudly marks the 25th anniversary of its Maritime Service Centre in Greece, a significant milestone that reflects the Centre\u2019s longstanding commitment to supporting the maritime industry.<\/p>\n

Since its establishment, the Maritime Service Centre has played a pivotal role in offering specialized maritime services and solutions to shipowners across the Southeast Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions. Over the past quarter century, the Maritime Service Centre in Greece has been instrumental in delivering a wide range of services for existing ships and newbuildings, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and operational excellence for DNV customers.<\/p>\n

Among the Centre\u2019s key offerings are<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Ships in Service Plan Approval \u2013 Ensuring regulatory compliance of existing ships.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Newbuilding Pre-Contract Services \u2013 Providing expert guidance for shipowners during their early discussions with the yards on regulatory compliance, forthcoming new regulations, etc.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Condition Assessment Programme (CAP) \u2013 Evaluating hull, machinery, and cargo handling systems in tankers more than 15 years of age.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Maritime Academies \u2013 Delivering up-to-date training to industry professionals.<\/p>\n

Milestones and achievements<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over the years, the Maritime Service Centre in Greece has delivered remarkable achievements, such as:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Approved over 850 ballast water treatment installations<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Approved Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) for more than 300 vessels<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Carried out approval of GHG related projects of more than 2,000 vessels<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Executed tens of thousands of approvals for alterations and manuals related to hull, piping, stability, statutory matters, and more.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Successfully approved more than 40 complex double hull tanker conversions, including VLCC-to-VLOC transformations<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Provided hundreds of pre-contract services for newbuildings to customers in the region<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Executed more than 500 CAP Hull and 300 CAP Machinery and Cargo Handling projects<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Conducted some 2,000 training courses, attended by more than 20,000 professionals from over 500 shipping companies<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Recognized with the SMART4SEA 2020 Training Award for excellence in maritime training.<\/p>\n
