(\u201cEurobank\u201d or the \u201cBank\u201d) announced on July 23rd the acquisition of a 9.9% holding (40,800,000 shares) in Hellenic Bank Public Company Limited (\u201cHellenic Bank\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>The Bank also announced entering into a Share Purchase Agreement (\u201cSPA\u201d) with Third Point Hellenic Recovery Fund L.P. for the acquisition of another 2.7%, subject to all customary regulatory approvals.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, December 28th, following the receipt of the relevant regulatory approvals, the Bank completed the acquisition of the 2.7% equity stake (11,191,639 shares) resulting to a total holding of 12.6%.<\/p>\n<p>Hellenic Bank is the second largest financial institution in Cyprus, active in personal, business and international banking.
