In the ongoing debate in the maritime community on new regulations to be implemented from January 1, 2020, MAN proposes reliable solutions and support for the next day, according to Man Energy Solution Hellas ltd CEO Dionysis Christodoulopoulos<\/p>\n
“We are giving answers regarding what kind of solutions we are proposing for existing machines, as well as alternative technologies, including several which already have a track record, as well as new technologies that will be available in 2-3 years. In any case, our proposals provide the credibility we offer as designers and manufacturers, complying with air pollutant limits set and the best possible consumption,” he told maritimes.gr during a MAN seminar entitled “Dual Fuel Engines “at the Benaki Museum .<\/p>\n
“In the last decade we have substantially transformed our products to comply with new regulations every time. We examine any possibility of design flaws or problems during the design stage, but as issues can always arise in operation, we provide comprehensive answers afterwards,” Christodoulopoulos explained.<\/p>\n
At a global and local level, MAN can handle many incidents, because the company already proactively informs customers what to expect and what they need to do, he noted.<\/p>\n
“If our customers take the right steps, I think they will have no problem,” Christodoulopoulos stressed, adding what we might see in front of us is exaggerated by some circles who aim at profit.<\/p>\n
