We offer the support shipping needs in times of uncertainty: Joseph E.M. Hughes, Chairman- CEO American P&I Club
At a time when shipping worldwide is facing the growing uncertainties of an increasingly problematical world geopolitically and economically, the American P&I Club is providing ship owners with the much needed support to move forward, according to Joseph E.M. Hughes, President and Managing Director of the club.
“The ability of the American P&I Club to provide the services and financial strength that ship owners need to emerge from these uncertainties has never been greater. Much is demanded of us and much we will be able to provide, ”said Mr. Hughes, speaking to maritimes.gr during the inauguration of the club’s new offices in Piraeus last week.
With a presence in the port since 2005, the American P&I Club has so far worked seamlessly with Greek ship owners who represent a very important constituency within its members, he explained. On both sides, we are committed to further deepening cooperation, he added.
“The basis for growth for any service provider is excellence of the service that they are able to provide,” Mr. Hughes underlined, explaining the secret of successful cooperation with the Greek maritime community.
The club has not focused and will not focus on big players, but on medium-sized fleet owners who appreciate the personal service to which we are very much committed, he noted.
