We grew up with Greek ship owners and together we will become better: Dorothea Ioannou, Chief Commercial Officer-SVP, American P&I Club
In the 14 years of the American P&I Club’s presence in Greece, the club has grown together with Greek ship owners as a family and the goal is to move forward together and become better, said Dorothea Ioannou, Chief Commercial Officer-SVP, American P&I Club , speaking to maritimes.gr during the inauguration of the club’s new offices in Piraeus last week.
“We started in 2005 with 5 people in Piraeus and today we are 12. The Greek market fleet accounts for about 55\% of the club today. The club is growing in Greece, as well as worldwide, ” said Ioannou.
“The American P&I Club has always been a boutique club designed to support small and medium-sized ship owners. We specialize in this field, we believe that this is what the market needs and this is our focus,” she explained.
Ms Ioannou introduced Daniel Tadros, who had just taken over as Chief Legal Officer of the American P&I Club.
With a 25-year career in the US representing for many years Greek ship owners, Mr. Tadros said he was excited about the new chapter opening in Piraeus.
