The Shipyards’ & Maritime Equipment Association of Europe – hosted a cocktail reception in Brussels
On September 11th, SEA Europe – the Shipyards’ & Maritime Equipment Association of Europe – hosted a cocktail reception in Brussels to present the future of Europe’s maritime technology industry and its pivotal role in ensuring the EU’s industrial autonomy.
Key policymakers, including Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), European Commission representatives, and various maritime stakeholders, convened to discuss the need for a maritime industrial strategy in support of the strategic dimension of the maritime technology industry as well as the EU’s strategic autonomy.
SEA Europe’s key policy recommendations for the new European Commission were highlighted aiming to promote industry’s competitiveness and its contribution to the EU’s economic and environmental goals.
SEA Europe Vice Chair Eleni Polychronopoulou had the pleasure of welcoming Greek MEPs, Mr. Giannis Maniatis, Mr. George Aftias, and Mr. Dimitrios Tsiodras, who were present to engage with SEA Europe’s recommendations.
