Greece and Norway as two big shipping nations already have have a lot of cooperation, the Greek market is a very important to Norway and there is potential for further cooperation in the future in sectors such as wind energy, Frode Overland Andersen, Norwegian Ambassador in Greece and Cyprus told maritimes.gr
With experience in gas for 60 years Norway can assist Greece which is now entering into the gas market, he said during a press conference he attended a few days ago in Piraeus at DNV GL’s offices to inaugurate their maritime gas center.
What makes Europe good in a sense is investments in development, he noted, adding that Greece and Norway have a lot in common as small in terms of population size, but big in terms of economy.
“We are both coastal nations and our focus is outwards. Our mentality is that we have to do something bigger than our countries,” the ambassador noted.
