PPA S.A.: Incheon Metropolitan Council Construction and Transportation Committee visits Piraeus Port

27 February 2025. A delegation from the Construction and Transportation Committee of the Incheon Metropolitan Council of the Republic of Korea visited the Piraeus Port Authority (PPA S.A.), engaging in discussions on port operations and cruise sector development.

During the visit, the eleven-member delegation, led by Committee Chair Daejung Kim, met with PPA S.A. CEO Su Xudong and senior company officials. Particular emphasis was placed on the continued growth of the cruise industry in Piraeus, which has seen record-breaking passenger traffic and increasing homeport activity. Investments in infrastructure and technology have played a key role in this expansion, with pre-bookings for 2025 already indicating another potential record year.

The visit provided a platform for exchanging insights on port management and on other areas of common interest, confirming the constantly increasing role of the port of Piraeus in the global port industry.
