PIRAEUS PORT ORGANIZATION/ PPA S.A. – COSCO SHIPPING with “MISSION” support the flood victims of Thessaly

PIRAEUS PORT AUTHORITY / PPA S.A. – COSCO SHIPPING and the Charity Organization “MISSION” of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, jointly provided humanitarian aid, offering actual support to flood victims in local communities of Thessaly.

The humanitarian aid including bottled water multipackages and long duration food, household cleaning products and personal hygiene and care items, were delivered to the Region of Thessaly at the New Building on Theofrastou & Klisthenous str. (Averof district) in Larissa.

The purpose of the joint synergy is the immediate relief of those affected by the severe weather conditions of ‘Daniel’, which left behind dead, missing, stranded people and huge disasters. The “MISSION” with additional 3 tons humanitarian aid in order to cover the first basic needs of the flood-affected families, continues by order of the Archbishop Mr. Ieronymos, the efforts for their relief, in cooperation with Holy Metropolises and the competent State authorities.

It should be noted that PPA S.A. has a targeted planning of corporate social responsibility, continuously supporting with specific actions and in various sectors the society and especially the vulnerable groups of population, with ultimate aim to strengthen and upgrade the quality of the citizens’ life.
