Oaktree ups Capital count

Oaktree Capital has seen its stake in Capital Product Partners shrink despite adding more shares in the shipowner.

Oaktree has reported a holding of 6,089,464 units in the MLP, equal to 5.7\%.

Based on the last trade of Capital units Oaktree’s stake is worth around $55m.

Oaktree was already one of the main external investors in Capital Product Partners.

Its last reported holding was 5,049,924 units last February, giving it a 6.9\% slice at the time.

Kayne Anderson and Swank Capital are other known major stakeholders in the shipowner.
