Katradis Marine Ropes Industry SA has developed a durable and easy-to-handle mooring rope

Mooring ropes for large cargo ships and LNG carriers need to withstand high tensile loads and extreme environmental conditions. Using the high-performance Vectran™ fibers from Kuraray, Katradis Marine Ropes Industry SA has developed a durable and easy-to-handle mooring rope.

Recently, our LCP-Siri® ropes were selected by GasLog Ltd. to equip their newbuilding LNG vessels. The key characteristics of the ropes create a combination of high wear resistance, negligible creep, high strength in subzero temperatures and also hot climates.

Compliant and certified according to the latest regulations and guidelines of the shipping industry such as MEG4 & SOLAS, our LCP-Siri® ropes have been developed for long service lifetime and safety in mooring operations.
