Kontes referred to insufficient port infrastructure, air services an excessive bureaucracy that hinder the growth of the cruise sector in Greece.
As he said, the necessary interventions for every Greek port have been submitted to Shipping Minister Yannis Plakiotakis “who has shown great interest and asked for our proposals from the first minute he assumed office”.
Kontes also added that “recently, Citizen Protection Ministry’s officials have held inspections to all the Greek islands due to the new rules for non-Schenghen passengers that must be applied as of January 1, 2021.
