ICS Greek Branch Announces Election of Natalia Margioli FICS as Vice-President of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers – ICS Controlling Council 2025, Hong Kong

The ICS Greek Branch is proud to announce that Natalia Margioli FICS, Founder and Managing Director of the Hellenic Management Centre and longstanding leader of the Greek Branch, has been elected Vice-President of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS).

Her election represents a significant milestone for both Greece and the global ICS community, recognizing over two decades of contribution to maritime education, the development of the ICS Greek Branch, and the advancement of professional standards across the international shipping industry.

During last week’s ICS Controlling Council (CC) meeting in Hong Kong, the Institute formally confirmed its Senior Officers for the 2025–2026 term:

Krishnan Subramaniam FICS – Chairman
Marc Buchholz FICS, MBA – Vice-Chairman

The Controlling Council meeting brought together representatives from ICS International Branches, at Hong Kong, to discuss the Institute’s strategic direction and future priorities. As the highest governing body of the ICS, the Council plays a pivotal role in shaping long-term policy, strengthening the Institute’s educational mission, and ensuring that ICS Membership continues to serve the global maritime community with relevance, quality, and integrity.

The Greek Branch was also represented by Stavroula Tape FICS, Academic Director of HMC/ICS Greek Branch and Member of the Controlling Council, who contributed to discussions focused on educational excellence, branch collaboration, and the Institute’s global development.

Throughout the sessions, Council members reviewed progress on major initiatives, explored new strategic pathways, and exchanged views on enhancing cooperation and alignment across branches internationally.

Reflecting the Institute’s strong international footprint, delegates also met with key members of the Hong Kong maritime community, reinforcing collaboration with one of the world’s most influential shipping centres.

The ICS Greek Branch is proud to play an active role in the Institute’s worldwide work and remains committed to supporting the new leadership team as ICS continues to evolve as a truly international professional body for shipping professionals.
