Franman at Posidonia 2022
Franman had a strong presence at this year’s Posidonia with a pavilion located at the heart of the Metropolitan Expo Center.
After a four-year absence, Posidonia was truly memorable, filled with notable visitors, significant new contacts, awards and events that contribute to our goals for continued development and leadership in shipbuilding equipment and services in the shipping industry.
“I am truly satisfied with our presence and our overall experience at Posidonia,” our CEO, Costis J. Frangoulis, said.
“There was a great need but also a true delight in the shipping industry once again being together. During the last four years Franman has progressed significantly, better able to respond to the challenges of shipping worldwide. Posidonia was a good opportunity to learn, to share our news and developments but also to add important new collaborations to our portfolio.”
Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Greek Prime Minister, visited our stand on the opening day. Among the many other distinguished visitors during the exhibition were Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Mr Ioannis Plakiotakis, Minister of Finance, Mr Christos Staikouras, President of the Union of Greek Shipowners, Mrs Melina Travlos, President of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping Dr. George Pateras, Chief of the Hellenic Coast Guard, Mr Georgios Alexandrakis.
Shortly before the conclusion of Posidonia, on Thursday, June 9, a Cocktail Reception was held at our pavilion. Clients, partners and friends of our company had the opportunity to meet, to exchange ideas and discuss developments in shipping with a shared positive vision for the future.
The event concluded with the exchange of tributes and heartfelt thanks for 30 years of excellent cooperation with Mr Toshihiko Hosoki of Naniwa Pump, and the representative of Yanmar, Mr Shohei Kamata, for 25 years of uninterrupted and highly successful cooperation with the Japanese group.
During the exhibition, Franman was officially awarded the Great Place to Work 2022 award by Mr George Mavros, CEO of PRC Group -The Management House. “I am very happy for this distinction which I dedicate to my team”, said Mr Frangoulis. “It is very important that the results of this research come from the perspective of our employees for our company. All together, we give our best every day and together we become better every day“
We support and work methodically to lay a strong foundation for the new generation of shipping. In this regard, dozens of students were welcomed at our stand during the exhibition and had the opportunity to be introduced to the shipping industry by our executives.
We express the warmest congratulations to the Posidonia exhibition committee for the excellent organization while acknowledging the difficult decision they had to endure by postponing the exhibition launch for the last 4 years due to Covid restrictions.
