Dear Colleague,

We are very pleased to announce the 20th International Congress of the International Maritime Association of the Mediterranean (IMAM 2025), Sept 28 – Oct 3, 2025. The IMAM 2025 Congress will be held as an in-person meeting, at the Porto Platanias Beach Resort & Spa, located in the village of Platanias, 15 km west of the city of Chania at the island of Crete (Greece). The Congress will be jointly organized by the National Technical University of Athens and the Hellenic Institute of Marine Technology.

The International Maritime Association of the Mediterranean (IMAM) is proud of its nearly 50-year history that is focused on the generation of novel solutions for the improvement of maritime transport as well as for the better exploitation of sea resources in the Mediterranean area, in line with the principles of sustainable growth.

Technical papers are invited addressing the following topics in the wider theme of marine technology:

Digitalization
Navigation
Human factors
Security
Small & pleasure craft
Aquaculture and fisheries
Offshore and coastal engineering
Shipyards and materials
Port operations and green ports
Logistics
Legal/Social aspects
Other topics relating to the hydro – environment

The submission of abstracts will open on September 1, 2024 and it will run until October 31. The submission of full-length papers will start on December 1, 2024 ending on January 31, 2025. Details about the process of submission, important dates and other matters about the Congress are available at https://imam2025.elint.org.gr. The Organizers are currently in discussions with a major publisher for the indexed publication of the IMAM 2025 Proceedings.

The IMAM 2025 Congress will include a rich social programme with guided tours to significant archaeological and cultural sites of the Chania region of Crete. A special programme for accompanying persons will also be arranged. More details will be added at the Congress homepage later.
