Delta Tankers is understood to have gone to Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) to sign a contract for two tankers. It is worth noting that 23 of the 25 tankers in the Delta stable were built at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries. Shipbrokers note very favourable delivery slots were enough to tempt the owner to SHI.
The suezmaxes are set for delivery in October and December 2016.
