Angelicoussis Group: Today is a very emotive day

Today is a very emotive day for all of us at the Angelicoussis Group, as it is the second year after the passing of our late John A. Angelicoussis (1948-2021).

John Angelicoussis joined the family business in 1973 and became President and CEO of the Angelicoussis Group in 1989, following the death of his father and the company’s founder Antonis I. Angelicoussis.

Our former President expanded the Group’s operations, investing not only in the dry bulk sector but also expanding into the tanker and LNG markets. Above all, he was a person who not only left his mark on the shipping industry but also touched people’s lives.

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering planted a commemorative tree at Geoje Shipyard and created a plaque in his honour. We thank them for their initiative and their kind words of appreciation.
